Designed with the engineer in mind, the Hydratron range of robust hydraulic power units (HPUs) delivers streamlined operation, easy maintenance and reliable performance even against the toughest conditions across both onshore and offshore applications.
Also known as hydraulic power packs, a HPU is a self-contained system consisting of a motor, fluid reservoir and a pump, that applies hydraulic pressure to drive motors, cylinders and other related parts of a hydraulic system.
The Hydratron air operated liquid hydraulic power units are designed for pressure testing, chemical injection and hydraulic power.
How does a hydraulic power unit work?
A hydraulic power unit uses fluid to transfer energy from one source to another, creating a rotary or linear motion or force.
Unlike standard pumps, hydraulic power units use multi-stage pressurisation to move fluid that is temperature controlled. The mechanical makeup of a hydraulic power unit determines the type of projects for which it can be applied to.
Some of the important factors that influence a HPU’s performance include pressure limits, power capacity and reservoir volume. Its physical characteristics such as size, power supply and pumping strength are also significant considerations.

The Hydratron range of durable air operated hydrostatic power packs have been built to withstand various environmental conditions. With output pressures of up to 40,000 psi (3,160 Bar) and flows of up to 7gpm (31.5Ltr/min), these high pressure units offer a well proven and trouble free solution.
